Due to their compelling advantages, Interelectronix exclusively uses single-chip IC controllers and easy-to-integrate board-board controllers.

Single-chip IC controllers

They have very fast response times and ensure more intuitive user interfaces, as the hover function allows icons, letters, links, or other images to be pre-selected without physically touching the screen.

At the same time, they consume significantly less power than controllers from other manufacturers, thus contributing to a longer battery life.

Installing the Atmel controller is very easy, as all common interfaces such as:

  • USB,
  • RS232,

  • SPI

are supported by all controllers as standard.

High precision and performance

Multi-touch capable PCAP touchscreens in particular require very precise controllers with a very fast response time.

In contrast to single or dual touch technologies, multi-touch requires an unlimited number of touch points to be captured, processed quickly and unintentional touches to be filtered out at the same time.

The new Atmel controllers increase noise immunity with a new capacitive-touch dual analog and digital filter architecture that offers high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and low power consumption.
